A Cool Change: How Mr Ryan’s Portland Cottage Got a Much-Needed Upgrade
Catalyst’s Energy Conservation Program (ECP) team visited Mr. Ryan to conduct a free Home Energy Assessment (HEA). What they found was concerning: his only source of heat was a single Cadet wall heater, and his cooling came from a small window A/C unit in the bedroom.


Energy Upgrades Bring Comfort and Savings to Ms McCall’s First Home
Ms McCall purchased her first home in September 2024—a charming, single-level house thoughtfully modified to support her life as a quadriplegic. But as winter set in, Ms McCall was surprised by high energy bills that put a strain on her budget.
