A Life on a Fixed Income
Ms Sheldon is a single woman living on a modest retirement income. Like many seniors, she faces the challenge of maintaining a safe and comfortable home without the financial flexibility to make necessary upgrades.
A Partnership for Comfort
In 2024, Catalyst’s Energy Conservation Program (ECP) partnered with HomeRx to improve her home by insulating her attic and crawlspace. During the Home Energy Assessment, it was discovered that the home had single-pane aluminum windows—among the least energy-efficient types available.
While Catalyst couldn’t address the windows at that time, they never forgot about Ms Sheldon.
A Gift of Warmth and Efficiency
Each year, Renewal by Andersen Windows generously donates one full window replacement project, including both the windows and professional installation. In 2025, Ms Sheldon was chosen to receive this incredible gift.
Catalyst supported the effort by providing morning refreshments and lunch for the hardworking Andersen crew. The result? Ms Sheldon was over the moon with her new insulated windows, which brought not only warmth and comfort but also peace of mind.
Gratitude and Impact
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Renewal by Andersen for their generous donation and continued partnership. It’s through collaborations like these that Catalyst is able to fulfill its mission: helping under-resourced homeowners live in healthy, safe, and energy-efficient homes.
