Serving Our Neighbors with Heart and Skill
July was a busy and impactful month for our Handle It team! These small-scale projects—typically completed in just a few hours by a couple of volunteers—are a vital way Catalyst NW supports homeowners with needs they may not be able to address on their own.
Here’s a look at what we accomplished across the Portland metro area:
Beaverton
A homeowner needed help after a plumber repaired a leaking pipe under their concrete floor. Our team stepped in to pour new concrete and replace the flooring, making the area safe again.
West Linn
We revisited a past client to reattach gutters and downspouts after a new roof installation. This final touch helps keep their home dry and protected.
Clackamas
Our volunteers installed new shut-off valves under the sink and replaced a leaking faucet for a former client.
Tigard
Another return visit! We installed new water shut-off valves under bathroom sinks for a grateful homeowner.
Portland
We replaced a kitchen light fixture and installed a new light switch, improving safety and functionality for a homeowner in need.
Beaverton (Second Project)
We helped a 93-year-old widow feel safer at home by installing a grab bar to support her mobility.
Total Impact
Volunteers: 14
Total Hours Served: 50
