A Resident in Need
Mr. Namba, a 61-year-old longtime resident of West Linn, Oregon, has faced serious health challenges in recent years. With the unwavering support of his family and care team, he continues to fight to regain his health and remain safely in the home he loves.
A Home at Risk
Earlier this year, the deteriorating condition of Mr. Namba’s roof threatened his home insurance—and his ability to stay in his home. Thanks to generous donations from Malarkey Roofing Products and Peak Performance Roofing, Catalyst was able to replace the roof in March, securing his home and peace of mind.
A Return to Serve
In August, Catalyst volunteers returned to address another urgent safety concern: Mr. Namba’s deck. This fall, the team went even further—repairing siding, weatherproofing the exterior, and painting the entire home to ensure it was safe, comfortable, and dignified.
A Community United
Over three days, from Sept 11 - 13, 39 volunteers gave 289 hours of service. The team included adults, teenagers, and even elementary and middle school students. Families served side by side, modeling compassion and service for the next generation. It was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together.
A Deeper Commitment
This project marked a milestone for Catalyst: the completion of our first “Deep” initiative. This new approach goes beyond one-time repairs—focusing on multiple critical needs throughout the year while building lasting, meaningful relationships with our clients.
