Mr. Ballou is a great‑grandfather who occasionally babysits his great‑grandson. Spending time together at home is important to him, but comfort has long been a challenge.

Struggling with Extreme Temperatures

Until recently, Mr. Ballou’s home was very cold in the winter and uncomfortably hot in the summer. His only permanent heat source was a single baseboard heater in his bedroom, with electricity‑hungry portable heaters used throughout the rest of the house. Air conditioning was limited to just one window unit.

A No‑Cost Energy‑Efficient Upgrade

Catalyst Partnerships NW, working alongside our Trade Ally, The Heat Pump Store, utilized ETO energy‑efficiency upgrade incentives to install a double‑headed mini‑split ductless heat pump—at no cost to Mr. Ballou.

Lasting Comfort and Lower Energy Bills

With this new system, Mr. Ballou’s home will stay consistently warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Even better, his electricity usage—and monthly energy bills—will be substantially reduced.
