In May, the Handle-It team provided valuable support to our community through several essential repair projects across Beaverton, Portland, and Canby.

The Bigjoe family, neighbors living in Oregon City, are on a fixed income and face physical and financial challenges. Mrs. Bigjoe, in particular, has serious mobility issues, and their home had become unsafe for daily movement.

For nearly three decades, Ms. Hall has called her manufactured house “home.” At 55 years old and living alone, she’s faced more than her share of challenges—especially as her health has declined due to serious breathing issues. But this past year, the struggle became too much to bear alone. Her home was in disrepair, her ceiling was collapsing, and every leak in her roof was another reminder that things needed to change.
