Lagrand Project

Mrs. Lagrand is a 78 year old woman who has severe problems with her hip, knee and ankle joints. She can stand and take a few steps but spends most of her time scooting around with the help of her walker or in a wheel chair.  Her husband is her caretaker. Their income consists of Linda's social security and a reverse mortgage on their home. They requested help to make it easier and safer for Linda to get in and out of the house. They have a ramp into the garage but it has no hand rails. Access via the front door involved two steps, one of which was extra high, and also lacked a hand rail. 

6 Awesome guys from Grace Chapel installed walker-friendly steps at the front entrance, with a handrail, so that Mrs. Lagrand can now get in & out of her home with ease.

Leadership and volunteers for this project was provided by Grace Chapel in Wilsonville.  Leo Vaughn took the lead, along with Construction Manager Darrell Kriechbaum.
